Polyfam® 103

Polyfam® 103 by Resinfam is an acid-containing, crosslinked acrylic emulsion copolymer. It forms viscous solution at low concentration upon neutralization with a base. It is used as a thickener in water-based coatings. When the emulsion is diluted with water and neutralized with base, then each emulsion particle swells greatly. The high viscosity of Polyfam® 103 solution is applicable for suspended pigments and fillers in water-based paints, inks and other coatings of the abrasive particles in waxes or polishes. The shelf life of the grade is 6 months.
