RANBAR® 4971-BC-70

RANBAR® 4971-BC-70 by Huntsman is a low-VOC, water-reducible short oil alkyd resin formulated for baking applications. It gives good adhesion to most surfaces and good film hardness when crosslinked with melamine resins. It offers good gloss retention, flexibility and excellent corrosion resistance. It imparts a fast rate of air drying, especially the chain stopped resins. Most alkyds can be air/force dried or cross-linked with melamine. RANBAR® 4971-BC-70 is used for dip tanks, flow coat and spray coating applications. Applications include automotive underhood, coil coating, electrical insulating enamels, office furniture finishes, drum/metal container finishes and industrial baking enamels and primers.
