Hycar® 26315

Carboxylated acrylic copolymer latex. It is heat reactive, shows good light and heat stability, provides tack-free surface, low odor and offers spray-ability. It is anionic in nature. It will form continuous film at room temperature if compounded with a fugitive plasticizer such as carbitol acetate. It is compatible with most common latex compounding chemicals: pigments, clay, titanium dioxide, thickeners like carboxy methyl cellulose, hydroxy ethyl cellulose and polyacrylic acids and solvents like hexylene and propylene glycol. It delivers dry paper coating at 210°-220°F and cure latex paper coating at 275°-300°F. Used in paper coatings.
