RANBAR® 5121-BC-85

Ranbar® 5121-BC-85 by Huntsman is a water reducible alkyd resin. It is good combination of hardness and flexibility. Most alkyds can be air/force dried or cross-linked with melamine. It shows good to excellent corrosion resistance, low VOC and gloss retention. For a baking coating, 12-30% of a melamine resin can be used for cross-linking. Co-solvent and/or melamine’s and neutralizer should be added to the resin and mixed completely before the addition of water. It is used in drum/metal container-, office furniture finishes, industrial baking enamels and primers. Ranbar® 5121-BC-85 is suitable for coil and dip tank coatings. It can be diluted in 2-Butoxyethanol.
