EPIKOTE™ Resin 3540-WY-55

EPIKOTE™ Resin 3540-WY-55 by Westlake Epoxy is a non-ionic stable dispersion of high molecular weight bisphenol A resin. It imparts good adhesion to steel or aluminum. When cross-linked with an appropriate melamine or urea-formaldehyde resin and baked, epoxy coatings can be obtained that offer performance comparing favorably to solvent-borne epoxy coatings. It is stable with a wide range of solvents. EPIKOTE™ Resin 3540-WY-55 is used in formulating industrial baking finishes. It may also be used as sole resin or as modifier in industrial ambient cure primers, glossy enamels and clear coatings in conjunction with curing agents that offers quick coalescing films with short lacquer dry times.
