Polymer VS 1000 by Evonik is a vinyl-functional polydimethyl siloxane. It is cured by a platinum-catalyzed addition reaction with silicone cross-linkers containing SiH groups. Due to the low content of volatile constituent and the crosslinking mechanism, the curing shrinkage remains low and no volatile or corrosive substances are formed while curing. Polymer VS 1000 has a shelf life of 24 months.
