Luwipal® 072 by BASF is a highly reactive ethanol-etherified melamine-formaldehyde resin dissolved in isobutanol. Used for baking finishes, in combination with acrylic or alkyd resins for automotive finishes (solid-shade finishes or clear coats in metal effect finishes) and for water-thinnable paints. Luwipal® 072 shows very high compatibility with acrylic resins.
