VIALKYD® AC 451n/70SNA by allnex is a medium oil, non-drying alkyd resin. It is suitable for cross-linking with amino resins specially to formulate high quality stoving systems for automotive topcoats and one-coat systems for household and electrical appliances. Films based on VIALKYD® AC 451n/70SNA have good gloss, high body and excellent outdoor durability as well as resistance to petrol and UV radiation. Moreover, it offers excellent impact resistance, flexibility, adhesion and surface hardness. It is used in non-yellowing nitrocellulosis paints with a very good body. It offers dilutability in butyl acetate, ethanol, butanol, methyl ethyl ketone, xylene and solvent naphtha 150/180. It is recommended to be used at 10-20 % of hard resin. It has a shelf life of 730 days at 25°C.
