Variocrom™ Magic Purple L 5520 by Sun Chemical (DIC) is a lamellar iron oxide/silicon dioxide/iron [III] oxide. It is luster pigment with color shifting properties based on multiple coated micaceous iron oxide. The color travels from purple to orange. It is used for high quality automotive finishes and industrial paints, metallic coatings for cars, bicycles, motorcycles, powder and coil coatings.
