Kronos® 2044

KRONOS® 2044 by Kronos is titanium dioxide. It is a rutile pigment produced by the sulphate process with a high level of inorganic surface treatment for heavily filled systems. It is surface treated with aluminum and silicon compounds. Develops higher hiding power and tinting strength at high pigment volume concentrations than rutile pigments with lower inorganic surface, imparts a neutral tone and high brightness to coatings, improves the brightness and opacity of paper coatings, disperses readily, confers good exterior durability and has a higher water and dispersant demand than standard grades. KRONOS® 2044 is suitable for use in emulsion paints, paper- & wallpaper coatings, matt printing inks.
