Silmer® VIN C50

Silmer® VIN C50 by Siltech is tri-functional, high molecular weight silicone prepolymer with reactive vinyl groups. It is used to modify polymers to improve their surface and physical properties. It offers mar resistance, surface smoothness, flexibility, hydrophobicity, slip and anti-blocking properties. It is compatible with polymers that contain reactive groups and systems such as epoxide, carboxylic acid, esters and isocyanates. Silmer® VIN C50 is recommended for use in coatings. The vinyl functionality gives permanent binding into the matrix of polymers. Typical usage level is between 1-3% by weight. It has a shelf life of 36 months from the date of manufacture. This grade is listed with TSCA, DSL, AICS, IECSC, KECI, ENCS, TCSI, NZIoC and PICCS international inventories.
