TCD Alcohol DM by OQ Chemicals is a cyclic polyol consisting of two primary hydroxyl (OH) groups attached to a non-aromatic tricyclic ring structure, making it highly reactive in polymerization such as esterification.

It is a crosslinking agent, linking polymer chains together to form a three-dimensional network. This crosslinking enhances durability, mechanical properties, thermal stability, and chemical resistance of the resulting polymer materials.
It imparts rigidity and dimensional stability to the molecule.
TCD Alcohol DM acts as a building block for polymers such as polyesters, poly(meth)acrylates and polyurethanes.
In food packaging coating like can, it offers exceptionally high TG temperatures, and best in class flexibility to meet performance criteria of deep-drawing and sterilization process steps after pre-coating of plate.
In exterior coatings, it function as a co-polymer and enables hardness, scratch resistance and good adhesion to steel, aluminum and glass with low water absorption and excellent aging resistance, e.g. non-yellowing.
For electronic coating applications, it leads to high resistance to temperatures, aging and weathering as well as mechanical stability and low water vapor permeability.
In 3D printing, it is valued for providing rigidity and no shrinking. In optical materials, it ensures UV transmission, resistance to yellowing and high Abbé numbers.
