Pure synthetic barium sulfate. Has fine particle size which necessitates high shearing forces for its dispersion. Offers increased chemical resistance and chemical inertness. Possesses low refractive index and ultrafine particle size. Exhibits reduction of VOC’s, anti-sagging, control of rheology, orientation of aluminium flakes, and improved gloss and DOI. Provides reduction of overbaking influences in coil coatings, and reduction of rub-out effects. Used in automotive top and base coats, metallic-effect paints, coil and can coatings.
