MOS-HIGE® by Ube Material Industries acts as a light weight thickener for paint applications. It is also effective as flame retardant. Provides high strength and helps in the prevention of cracks. It is a basic magnesium sulfate inorganic fiber obtained by hydrothermal synthesis using magnesium hydroxide manufactured from sea water and sulfuric acid as raw materials. It is easily soluble in body fluid and is considered to be a very safe whisker. It is used as an alternative to asbestos, as well as an alternative to mineral fibers containing asbestos. MOS-HIGE® is approved by TSCA (USA) and is registered with REACH. It is available in granule (A-1) and powder (P) form.
