Mergal® K12N by Troy Corporation (Arxada) is a zero VOC, fast acting, water-soluble liquid microbiocide. It acts as an in-can preservative for broad spectrum control of bacteria, yeast and mold. It is based on isothiazolinone and suitable for systems with a pH of 3-9. Mergal® K12N is used in water-borne inks, paints and coatings containing some residual redox agents. Its recommended dosage level is 0.05-0.2 %wt.
