Troythix® 42BA by Troy Corporation (Arxada) acts as a rheology control agent in solvent-based paints and lacquers. It is a polymerized vegetable oil derivative. It increases the viscosity by means of a hydrogen bonding. It offers compatibility with air- and heat-drying alkyd, epoxy ester, oil modified polyurethane and lacquers based on vinyl. It can be post added for batch adjustment. Troythix® 42BA is used in clear, pigmented and non-aqueous oxidizing systems. Its recommended use level is 0.20-1.0%.
