Mergal® S96 by Troy Corporation (Arxada) is a dry film preservative, fungicide and algaecide for paints and wood protection. It is a combination of methyl-benzimidazol-2-ylcarbamate and 2-n-octylisothiazolinone. This additive offers compatibility with non-aqueous systems such as air drying alkyd and acrylic and with water reducible resins. The usage level of Mergal® S96 is 0.3-3%.
