CASAMID® 2228 by Thomas Swan acts as a reactive matting agent. It is designed for use in exterior durable powder coatings in the gloss range 10 to 40+.
  • It offers good color- & UV stability, good weatherability and good mechanical properties.
  • It is used in the production of one shot, gloss reduced coatings based on TGIC/polyester with gloss levels of 10-60%, or other combinations curing with similar reaction mechanisms e.g. glycidyl esters (PES/PT910, 912) with gloss levels of 20-60%.
  • The recommended dosage level is 70-110 phr based on unreacted epoxy compound.
  • CASAMID® 2228 has a shelf life of 12 months.
