S-512 (Old name: Taber Tiger 5512) by Shamrock is a highly crystalline grade of synthetic wax and is produced to rigid particle size specifications. Acts as a slip control agent, release and gelling agent. Provides wear resistance without slip due to the large particle size, slip (low), mar/scuff and abrasion resistance properties. S-512 by Shamrock is used in both air dry and baked coatings for solvent and aqueous systems at 1-2% of total formula weight. It meets the requirements of 21 CFR 175.105, 175.300, 175.320, 176.170, 176.180, and 177.1520.
