Neptune 5223 (Old name: Neptune 5223-N4) by Shamrock is a synthetic wax that has been oxidized to provide water wettability and has a uniform melting range peaking at 97°C. Acts as a slip control agent, abrasion resistance-, rub resistance- and mar/scuff agent. Provides slip, mar/scuff, abrasion resistance, rub resistance and ease of dispersibility properties. Neptune 5223 by Shamrock is used in water-based inks and coatings. It is recommended for liquid and UV inks and coatings.
