AquaFLON® 50 by Shamrock is a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) aqueous dispersion. Acts as a slip control agent. Provides high temperature resistance, broad chemical resistance, clarity, gloss retention, transparency and slip (low COF) properties. AquaFLON® 50 is recommended for coatings such as overprint varnishes for can coatings and water-based inkjet formulations. It is also most suitable for thin films applications at 1-5% of solids to the total formula weight. It meets the requirements of 21 CFR 175.105, 175.300, 176.170, and 176.180.
