PQ Corporation Silica
Gasil® HY500 by PQ Corporation is a synthetic amorphous, fine particle sized silica-based matting agent. It provides gloss reduction and excellent scratch-, abrasion-, mar-, water & stain resistance. It is suitable for matt waterborne formulations. It offers superior appearance, transparency, better rheology and storage stability to finishes. Gasil® HY500 displays excellent compatibility with pseudoplastic PU thickeners in lacquers. Recommended for wood-, plastic-, industrial coatings and overprint varnishes. It is registered with REACH, TSCA, AICS and DSL/NDSL.
