PolyTuf® 1229

PolyTuf® 1229 by Micro Powders acts as a high performance surface modifier based on highly engineered low density polyethylene (LDPE)/ceramic/nanoceramic composite. It offers abrasion resistance and surface durability. It is PTFE-free alternative to Polyfluo 900.

• It provides superior surface toughness and mar resistance.
• It is easy to disperse fine powder that can be incorporated with high speed mixing.
• Ii is ideal for walking surfaces.
• It is designed for water-based, solvent-based & energy curable coatings and inks.
• PolyTuf® 1229 is used in industrial coatings (plastic, metal, masonry), architectural wall & trim paints, stains, sealers & varnishes, floor-, wood-, powder-, and coil coatings as well as printing inks, OPVs (flexo and gravure).
• Recommended dosage level is 0.5-2% on total formula weight.
