Microspersion® 31AQ

Microspersion® 31AQ by Micro Powders is a high density polyolefin wax. The extra-fine particle size is carefully controlled to provide a uniform matte effect in waterborne printing inks, paints and coatings. Microspersion® 31AQ allows the formulator to use a highly efficient matting wax in liquid form with only mild agitation needed during incorporation. It uses a unique polyolefin to impart smooth surface feel with optimum abrasion and burnish resistance. The high density characteristics of the polyolefin particles reduce or eliminate floatation or settling while providing optimum performance in waterborne systems. It is recommended for use in waterborne industrial coatings, architectural wall and trim paints as well as waterborne flexographic printing inks and overprint varnishes. The level of addition depends on the gloss control desired. Usually, adding 4%-10% based upon total formula weight of Microspersion® 31AQ will give a matte/satin finish.
