Ircothix™ 2000

Ircothix™ 2000 by Lubrizol is a light colored, carboxylate gel. Acts as a rheology modifier for conventional and high solids solvent-borne coatings. Especially recommended for use in long-oil alkyds and other low polarity systems, both air-drying and force-drying. Provides good sag resistance, and good antisettling properties. Offers very good gloss retention in high gloss applications. Does not require heat activation and use of polar activators. Exhibits no adverse impact on final film properties, no increase in high-shear viscosity, resulting in superior brushability. Ircothix™ 2000 reduces pigment settling and has a shelf life of 2 years. Used in architectural coatings, industrial coatings, protective coatings and pigment concentrates.
