BIOX® P509 by LANXESS is a VOC-, phenol- and heavy metals-free preservative. It is an aqueous preparation of 2-bromo-2-nitropropane-1,3-diol (Bronopol) and isothiazolinones. BIOX® P509 exhibits broad and balanced spectrum of activity against bacteria (aerobic and anaerobic), mould and yeast. It is suitable for both in-can preservation and dry-film protection of aqueous coatings.
