EcoFlat™ 1880 by Imerys is a natural amorphous diatomaceous earth. Acts as an environmental friendly natural matting agent. Exhibits superior mechanical resistances as well as matting. It is an ideal choice for low VOC paints. It is a natural mineral product with low carbon footprint, low crystalline silica content, improves mechanical properties and provides excellent color characteristics. Its high whiteness and low yellowness allow high loading levels where necessary. Allows low sheen levels to be achieved. Possesses low oil absorption combined with a high mineral hardness. Enhances scrub, burnish and stains resistance. Benefits are also seen in touch up properties and mud-crack resistance. EcoFlat™ 1880 is used for low VOC decorative paints.
