Omnirad 127D

Omnirad 127D by IGM Resins is a highly efficient type I photoinitiator that can be used to initiate the photo polymerization of unsaturated pre-polymers like acrylates in combination with mono or multifunctional monomers.

It offers very high curing speed, low odor and outstanding surface-curing properties.
It shows through cure and low sensitivity to oxygen inhibition associated with reduced emission are of particular interest for overprint varnishes and for top coats for wood parquets.
It is suitable for all types of pigmented inks (offset, screen, flexo and inkjet), water-based & white systems and clear coatings.
It is recommended for thin coatings.
It can be used alone or in combination with suitable co-initiators (e.g., Omnirad 379, Omnirad TPO for UV-curable inks and in coating formulations for applications on paper, wood, metal and plastic materials).
Its red-shifted absorption spectrum makes it especially suitable for UV-curable inks and in general semi-opaque systems.
The dosage level of the grade for clear coats is 1-6%, inks (free-radical systems) is 2-5% and inks (cationic systems) is 0.5-2%.
