SpaceRite® S-3

SpaceRite® S-3 by Huber Engineered Materials is a special purpose, fine crystalline alumina trihydrate (ATH) (99.5%). It is produced through special processing of aluminous feedstock and stringent process control systems resulting in good purity & whiteness. Acts as a flame retardant and extender (invisible up to 5%). Exhibits low oil absorption, high loading capability, high brightness, low specific gravity, UV transparency, excellent dispersion characteristics (7+ Hegman). This chemically inert, non-abrasive, low-density material with uniform particles averaging about one micron in diameter is an organic-free pure white powder with narrow particle-size distribution (1.0 micron median). It can be used as a replacement of titanium dioxide (TiO2) that offers excellent gloss retention, does not impact color and weather resistance. Reduces yellowing in alkyds, improves photoinitiator efficiency and shows no impact on hue and cure speed. Suitable for high solids/low VOC and UV-based coating systems. SpaceRite® S-3 by Huber Engineered Materials is used in organic colored pigments and architectural coatings. It may be used in accordance with the following 21 CFR Sections: 175.300, 176.170, 176.210, 177.1200, 177.2600, 178.3297, 182.90, 73.1010.
