VESTASOL® TMC-one

3, 3, 5-Trimethylcyclohexan-1-one. It acts as a solvent, plasticizer, anti-corrosion agent and flow-control agent. Possesses high purity, low viscosity, high blushing resistance and anti-skinning properties. Exhibits limited miscibility with water and infinite miscibility with the usual organic solvents in the varnish industry. Compatible with cellulose nitrate, low-molecular-weight PVC grades, polyvinyl acetate, VC-copolymers, chlorinated rubber, alkyd resins, unsaturated polyester resins, epoxy resins and diverse acrylic resins. Prevents formation of blisters and pits. Provides improvement in flow and gloss. Used in nitrocellulose- lacquers & emulsions, emulsion paints, vinyl coatings applied to metals or plastics. Applications include siccative containing paints.
