TEGO® Rad 2550

TEGO® Rad 2550 by Evonik acts as a broadly usable, radically cross-linkable defoamer, wetting and slip agent. It is a clear, low viscosity liquid that effectively reduces static and dynamic surface tension. It is mainly used in radiation-curing inks, UV-, and UV-LED curing coatings.

• It provides long-term effectiveness, efficient flow combined with very good compatibility.
• It exhibits positive sustainability profile and enables formulation of low VOC coatings and inks.
• It offers excellent substrate wetting, low coefficient of friction, high scratch resistance, good defoaming and the ability to create hydrophobic surfaces.
• TEGO® Rad 2550 is recommended for overprint varnishes, printing inks, furniture coatings, wood coatings and matte coatings.
• It is partly suitable for waterborne and pigmented coatings.
• The recommended dosage level is 0.1 to 1.0%.
• It has a shelf life of 48 months.
