THIXATROL® AS 8053

THIXATROL® AS 8053 by Elementis is a 100% active, cost-effective, seed resistant rheological additive. It is a highly effective organic thixotrope for solvent-borne and high solids systems. It offers high viscosity, thixotropy and thick layer sag control in high build systems that contain little solvent or are solvent-free. It allows low-temperature activation, processing and packaging. It is highly active at low loading levels. It provides broad compatibility to various solvents. It exhibits no inter-coat adhesion problems when overcoated with a topcoat. It is suitable for corrosion protective high solids epoxy primers, two component high solids PU topcoats and industrial coatings. THIXATROL® AS 8053 has a shelf life of 4 years. It has a recommended dosage level of 0.5-3.5%.
