RHEOLATE® AP 425

RHEOLATE® AP 425 by Elementis is an economical and versatile hydrophobically modified alkali swellable thickener designed to fully or partially replace cellulosic thickeners in a variety of waterborne systems. It is supplied in an easy-to-use liquid emulsion form and is based on NPE-free ingredients to satisfy environmental concerns.

• It provides a high thickening efficiency in the medium shear rate range and an excellent balance between sag resistance, anti-settling and levelling properties.
• It contributes to high shear rate viscosity providing greater brush drag compared to cellulosic thickeners.
• It develops package viscosity efficiently and improves roller application hiding power.
• It reduces spattering during roller application.
• It is easily incorporated with low viscosity liquid.
• RHEOLATE® AP 425 is used in latex paints, industrial coatings and inks.
• Recommended dosage level is 0.3-1.0%.
• It has a shelf life of 2 years.
