DeuAdd HM-6 by Elementis is a high molecular weight silicone-based hammertone agent. It produces fine hammertone effect. Viscosity instability is frequently encountered when formulating paints which contain acidic vehicle and basic pigment.

It prevents viscosity increase and gelling of air drying and backing enamel storage.
It is used in solvent-based aluminum paint systems (baking enamel, air-dry alkyd, lacquer), coatings and inks.
Recommended dosage level is 0.05-0.5% based on total formulation weight.
DeuAdd HM-6 has a shelf life of 3 years.
