OPTIGEL® -CK

Hydrophilic bentonite. Acts as a rheology modifier/thickener. It is inorganic and stable in diluted acids and bases. It can withstand oxidation or microbial degradation. It is hydrophilic and easily wetted by water. It swells in cold water and the use of warm water improves & accelerates the delamination or dispersion. It should be introduced to the water in the initial dispersion phase. It is compatible with most emulsions, pigments or extenders. It has high swelling capacity. It reduces sagging. Used in primers, emulsion paints, oil-in-water emulsions and dip coatings. The recommended dosage level is 0.1 to 3%.
