BYK® -1880

BYK® -1880 by BYK is SVHC label- and solvent-free, silicone-containing defoamer based on modified polysiloxane copolymer. It is designed for airless or air-assisted airless application of solvent-borne and solvent-free systems. It is especially effective against application-related microfoam.

• It shows no negative influence on film properties such as gloss, leveling and adhesion.
• It is especially recommended for general industrial coatings, marine coatings and protective coatings.
• It is used in automotive refinish coatings, floor coatings and 2-pack high-solid PUR systems.
• Recommended dosage level is 0.3–1.0% additive (as supplied) based on the total formulation, in exceptional cases up to 1.5%.
• BYK® -1880 has a shelf life of 36 months.
