BYK® -1796

BYK® -1796 by BYK acts as a silicone-based defoamer for solvent-borne, high-solid, and solvent-free coatings. It is a mixture of an organic modified polysiloxane and hydrophobic solids. It is effective against both macro and microfoam. It is suitable for 100 % 2-component systems, epoxy and polyurethane resins. It is designed for floor-, protective-, general industrial-, architectural-, wood- and furniture coatings. Its recommended dosage level is 0.1-1% based on the total formulation. BYK® -1796 has a shelf life of 36 months.
