BYK® -1724

BYK® -1724 by BYK is a VOC-free, silicone containing defoamer. It does not contain alkylphenol ethoxylates. It is used in aqueous coatings based on pure acrylate, acrylate/polyurethane, and polyurethane in the pigment volume concentration range (PVC) 0-25 and aqueous printing inks & overprint varnishes based on acrylate/polyurethane and polyurethane. It can be used for aqueous UV systems

• It is effective when used in application methods such as rolling, painting, spraying, and pouring.
• It can generally be added at any time during production.
• Recommended dosage level is 0.1-0.5% for coating and 0.1-1% for ink.
• BYK® -1724 has shelf life of 36 months.
