Borchi® OXY-Coat

Borchi® OXY-Coat by Borchers (Milliken) is a high concentration, low-VOC, cobalt-free metal-based catalyst. It improves drying activity, color performance, gloss and haze compared to cobalt-based driers in water- & solvent-based systems. It is suitable for high solids, composites and can be applied in multiple coats. It is based on a unique, patented and highly active iron complex. It offers improved adhesion in direct to metal applications. It extends the coatings season window by providing consistent curing performance in all weather conditions (hot or cold, dry or humid) for short, medium and long oil alkyd systems. It can be used in coatings for adverse weather conditions. It is recommended for all solvent-based coatings containing binders or resins that dry by oxidation including alkyds, vegetable oils, epoxy esters and polybutadiene. Applications include wood flooring, architectural-, protective and marine coating. It is APEO-free, REACH and Proposition 65 compliant. The recommended dosage level of Borchi® OXY-Coat is 0.05-3%.
