Borchi® Gol LA 30

50% pre-diluted polyether modified polysiloxane in methoxy propyl acetate. Acts as a flow or levelling agent as well as a wetting agent. Provides improved flow and levelling properties as well as enhanced substrate wetting to inhibit crater and pinhole formation. It lowers the surface tension of a wide range of formulated systems. Inhibits the formation of surface defects like craters, pin holes and Bénard cells. Also promotes higher gloss and less haze in cured finishes. It has good compatibility with chemically curing binders such as hydroxyl bearing acrylics and polyesters (e.g. Desmophen® from Bayer Material Science), polyester melamines, epoxies and certain UV systems. It controls levelling in air drying alkyd and acrylic finishes. Recommended to use in solvent borne systems. Can be used in clear and pigmented coating systems. Application includes general industrial, wood and furniture coatings. The dosage rate lies within 0.1 to 0.5 % of the total weight of the formulation depending upon the binder system and which property is being addressed
