Borchi® Gel PN

Borchi® Gel PN by Borchers (Milliken) is a VOC-, tin-, emulsifier- and APEO-free thixotropic thickener. It develops viscosity in the low shear range to prevent settling and separation and improves the viscosity stability of a coating after tinting with universal colorants. It is used in water-based coating systems whose binders contain free hydroxyl and carboxyl groups. It does not need biocides. When Borchi® Gel PN is applied the structure rebuilds slowly for improved flow and leveling while retaining good sag resistance. It is used in vinyl acetate, acrylic, styrene acrylic, colloid and surfactant stabilized polymers. It is also suitable for the interior- and exterior coatings. The recommended usage level is 0.5-2.0 % on total paint formulation.
