Berset® 2185

Glyoxal based reactant. Acts as a highly-effective crosslinking agent. Offers good wet rub resistance off the machine and good wet pick up resistance. Provides coatings containing starch or protein binders exhibiting stable viscosity. Imparts very good printing properties. Shows accelerated reactivity in the drying process. Approved by FDA for use in paper and paperboard industry. Used in most types of paper coatings, but most effective in starch containing coatings.
