Methoxypropyl Acetate®

Propylene glycol monomethyl ether-1,2-acetate. Acts as a medium volatility, clear, slightly hygroscopic solvent for coatings and printing inks. Also acts as a flow improver and coalescent in coatings. Possesses a mild odor and a good solvent power for numerous resins and dyes. Does not contain any hydroxyl groups. Exhibits free miscibility with most common organic solvents, but limited miscibility with water. Used for coatings industries, flexographic, gravure, and screen printing inks, dyes in furniture polishes or wood stains, dye solutions and pastes for printing and coloring leather and textiles.
