Efka® SI 2041

Efka® SI 2041 by BASF is a highly efficient, more sustainable silicone defoamer for solvent-based coating systems.

Prevents the formation of foam and blisters during manufacturing and application like spray, brush and roller applications.
It is suitable for air-drying systems based on acrylic, vinyl or chlorinated polymers and alkyd/melamine systems.
Efka® SI 2041 is designed for fast-drying industrial and decorative finishes based on medium- to long-oil alkyd resins and two-pack epoxy and polyurethane systems.
Suggested applications include protective & maintenance, general metal and wood coatings.
The recommended use level is 0.1-0.7% on total formulation.
