Efka® PX 4360

Efka® PX 4360 by BASF is a high molecular weight, solvent-based dispersing agent. It is formulated with controlled free radical polymerization (CFRP) technology to have a defined polymer architecture and a low poly-dispersity index. It offers superior performance, durability, storage stability and improved processability. It enables formulation of tin- and aromatic-free solutions.
  • It provides high efficiency in stabilizing organic pigments & carbon blacks, offering excellent color development.
  • Its broad resin compatibility makes it suitable for use in resin-free pigment concentrates (RFPC).
  • It can also be used as a single dispersant for direct grinding of the pigments or with resin-containing pigment concentrates (RCPC).
  • It allows viscosity reduction at high pigment concentration in the grinding stage.
  • Efka® PX 4360 is suitable for solvent-based industrial coatings including 2K polyurethanes, acrylics & polyesters, ACE, automotive and protective & maintenance applications.
  • The recommended dosage level is 10–15% for inorganic pigments (on oil absorption value), 15–30% for organic pigments (green, blue, violet, on BET value), 15–45% for organic pigments (yellow, orange, red, on BET value), 15–20% for carbon blacks (LCF, on DBP value) and 40–50% for carbon blacks (HCC, on DBP value).
