Efka® FA 4654

Efka® FA 4654 by BASF is a high molecular weight carboxylic acid salt solution based dispersing agent. It helps to prevent interfacial tension between the hydrophilic pigments or extenders and binder, forming a lattice structure with the pigments at the same time.

• It reduces dispersion time, pigment sedimentation, tendency to sag during application on vertical surfaces, stabilization of the pigment dispersion and prevention of flooding.
• It is a high molecular weight carboxylic acid salts.
• It is ideal for dispersing organophilic bentonites, because it improves the storage properties of the final paste and gives a thixotropic and easily processed paste product.
• It is especially suitable for non- to medium-polar binder systems such as air-dried alkyd resins, chlorinated polymers, alkyd/amino resin combinations and epoxies.
• Efka® FA 4654 can cause discoloration in nitrocellulose varnishes.
