Alcogum® L 251

Alcogum® L 251 by Nouryon is an acrylate emulsion copolymer-based HASE thickener. It is a part of a unique line of hydrophobically modified, alkali soluble emulsion polymers. Possesses shear thinning flow and water retention characteristics. Maintains viscosity at elevated temperatures. Can be added as the last ingredient prior to neutralization. Alcogum® L 251 is supplied at 30% active solids in water. Its dilution with water can facilitate incorporation in viscous and/or alkaline formulations. Applicable for lightweight coating formulations, paper and paperboard coating industries.
