Afcona -5251

Afcona -5251 by Afcona Additives is a non-ionic polymer dispersant with acidic pigment affinity groups. It is developed for deflocculation of transparent iron oxides as well as other inorganic pigments and extenders. It offers optimum transparency, higher color strength, flocculation stability and lower viscosity. It is suitable for solvent-free or high-solid applications. Afcona -5251 is also used for manufacturing resin-free or resin-containing transparent iron oxide pigment concentrates for decorative as well as for industrial paints. The recommended dosage level for transparent iron oxides is 10-20%, for TiO₂ is 2-3% and for other inorganic pigments is 2-4%. The shelf life of the product is 5 years.
