Afcona -2023

Afcona -2023 by Afcona Additives is a silicone containing defoaming polymer. Acts as a moderate defoamer with minimum side effects. Prevents the formation of foam as well as blisters during the manufacturing and application of solvent-based coatings. Has a moderate defoaming property and therefore considered as a very safe defoamer to use. It does not show obvious side effects like other defoamers. Suitable from low polar system to high polar system. Afcona -2023 is used in two-pack polyurethane system for refinish, wood as well as general industrial, NC and acid curing system for wood, industrial coatings like baking enamels, acrylic thermosetting as well as oil free polyester systems, air drying systems like long and medium oil alkyd. Addition and dosage: 0.1-0.5% on total formulation. In general under normal conditions, the dosage is 0.20-0.40% based on total formulation.
