EPOXOL® CA118

EPOXOL® CA118 by ACS Technical Products is an environment-friendly, VOC-free, non-yellowing & non-fugitive coalescent and plasticizer with a high bio-derived content. It is an excellent choice for renewable formulations. It is very hydrophobic and has low HLB & very low viscosity. It is also used as a pigment dispersion and colorant vehicle. Suitable for industrial maintenance-, wood- & roof coatings, floorings and inks.

• It allows formulation of architectural coatings with good block properties and scrub resistance.
• Due to its long chain structure, it is non-volatile and shows excellent solvency and superior plasticization.
• It is non-hazardous and can replace alcohol esters, glycol ethers, low VOC coalescing agents, benzoates, phthalates and citrate ester plasticizers.
• It suppresses the glass transition temperature of latex emulsions and has a high partitioning coefficient which minimizes dirt pick-up and helps in low-humidity coalescence.
• It is recommended for nitrocellulose-, CAB-, acrylic-, concrete-, moisture- & vapor barrier-, protective-, marine- and rail coatings.
• EPOXOL® CA118 has a minimum shelf life of 36 months.
